sit & wait, socks, pause, knees

So apparently I haven't updated in eight years and [info]ofkitchensinks had to tell me to do it so I am doing it.

things I have enjoyed:

Jon Huertas (and his twitter)
Southland coming back from the dead
Knitting! I am way into knitting hats again.
Damian Lewis doing pretty much anything at all, but especially with James Franco
Lady Gaga (and) appreciating for music being music again
Touching a human heart like literally that was yesterday
Also pretty much everything Michael Cudlitz does, he is kind of all of my favourite things all at once

I will try to update more but I am busy writing things about things

and then it happens again.

i am so out of the loop, what's up what's up. went to a show last night, my dress still smells like gunpowder. opening nights are fun, sometimes it is like hanging out with rockstars. or just regular celebrities or like that bar on cheers? is the bar named cheers? i don't know. also i'm eating a lot of frosted flakes.

what else what else, i love frank sinatra still. i will listen to sinatra while drinking wine and wearing high heels. speaking of shoes, i have thirteen pairs and five of those are in my car, because i change my mind about them frequently.

it just stopped raining like ten minutes ago and now the sun is out. all good news, i have to leave for work in five. maybe it'll be sunny for the opening tonight, fingers crossed. people are less likely to enjoy themselves when they are damp, true fact.

want me to make you a mixtape? i'll make you a mixtape.

it's a lot easier to tweet about this shit.

How the hell is it May 20th already? This means it's ten days until Stratford Express, and twelve until opening week?

I'm writing a lot, and since I started keeping track January 1, I've written about 170000 words? In a variety of things, but I do have some major projects planned, so watch for that.

Speaking of major projects, I'm in the midst of doing... something with my music library. What's that thing that people do, uh, organize? This isn't that. Lately I've been on a side-project kick, or listening to songs by bands that have animal names. Apparently bears, rabbits, wolves and whales are the most musical animals.

Uh, so hi, what's up.

everyone was wearing fingerless gloves.

Let's see, what's going on.

-With work. We got government funding! Everyone seems a little less insane, a little more relaxed. Working for a non-profit can be tough. I still haven't seen West Side. It's great, from what I've overheard at the start of each half. And the cookies from the greenroom are still delicious.

-With music. I've been listening to Manchester Orchestra, Jeremy Warmsley, uh, Dananananaykroyd, a lot of themed stuff. Here are links to what I've been listening to most often.

-With fic. Writing a bunch of things, most of them ridiculous but not really finishing anything in particular. Uhh, I did write some original fic about a paramedic, and then I'm writing one about gay detectives, you know. Also, big bang. headshot.

In other news, blip.fm is pretty handy. Like twitter for tunes. I'm tinmouth. Be my friend, I will give you props.

Just found this awesome video.

Uh, yeah. HAY.

I haven't written since... Friday. I am less than a thousand words away from 100000, and can't even fumble the words out to inch past it.

Maybe this week I will go out and sketch by the riverside. It's a very quaint thing to do, I think. It looks like this right now, though. Totally gross. I like to look at this flickr collection to remind myself that spring is coming. If you were to pick any photo from there (minus the ones about people) I could tell you an interesting story about it, or what it is.

I upgraded to Office 2007, and I keep feeling stupid because everything is giant icons. Look. Isn't it ridiculous? Although badass-- I just changed my colour scheme to black. It makes me feel productive, maybe I'll write again.

Twenty-two (outlined) scenes to go in my big bang fic. It's, well, it's already past 30000 words.

Albums I've been listening to: Death Cab's Narrow Stairs, Peter Doherty's Grace/Wastelands, Cold War Kid's Robbers and Cowards.

etc etc etc.

I should update more. So.

-Yesterday at work, Colm Feore jumped around the corner, yelled RAWR and offered to buy us all drinks. He is one of my favourite actors and not at all like the big names from last season. I can't wait for Mackers, seriously. He also advises everyone to come see Macbeth, buy 2000 tickets.

- Other work-related shenanigans, we were confirming the correct way to spell weiner (wiener?) and then I mentioned weenus, blah blah blah, and towards the end of our conversation ended up saying penis really loudly just as an actor comes around the corner. I win again. Apparently he'd been listening since the first mention of peens.

- In hopes of stopping the spambot, I signed up for aim (tinmouthMC) but I have no idea if I'm doing it properly.

- Decomposure is quite wonderful, experimental electronic post-rock. The Humidity Patient Guide is about 50 minutes long, completely free, and the album artwork incorporates white-out, cut and paste text and medical diagrams, be still my heart. It can be downloaded here through the official torrent, but also here.
